Oregano World Wild Mediterranean Oregano Oil is a potent extract of wild Mediterranean oregano blended with Moroccan sweet almond oil in a 7:1 ratio. Ready to use orally or topically, it does not need to be diluted.
Uses:
Wild oregano oil is traditionally used for its antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antiparasitic, antioxidant, and topical antimicrobial properties. It may support a balanced gut microbiome, immune response, respiratory function, digestion, skin, and nail health.
Source and extraction:
Wild organic Origanum vulgare from the mountain regions of Turkey, steam distilled without solvent residue. The oregano oil contains a minimum of 80% carvacrol by mass before dilution.
Dilution: One part oregano oil to seven parts Moroccan sweet almond oil.

Greenfield Botanics Wild Mediterranean Oregano Oil is extracted using steam distillation. Steam distillation is ideal for extracting temperature-sensitive ingredients from herbs. It is healthier than solvent extraction because there is no residual solvent, such as hexane, left after extraction. Steam distillation works best for oregano oil because it extracts medicinal terpenes and phenols from the plant without extracting pigments and heavier chemicals. The end result is a very high final concentration of therapeutic compounds in the essential oil.
